Our towns and cities change dramatically over time. Shops open and close, buildings are refurbished, streets are re-paved and soon a place can seem almost unrecognisable.
Some landmarks, however, stand firm. I recently came across this news clip in the RTE archive, that discusses a plan to use the crescent quay as a car park!
Thankfully, that plan never came to pass and the space which saw the beginnings of Wexford is still firmly in place today.
Some things stand the test of time, it seems.
